Diva Cooking 101

Divas cook gorgeous things that are fabulous enough to share with friends and family. They just don't cook much. Every diva needs a few, easy signature dishes to get by. Are you a diva cook?

Divas cook while listening to Billie Holiday, Muddy Waters, or the Rolling Stones.

Divas cook while sipping Champagne, Chardonnay, or a martini.

Divas cook with a feather boa draped around their shoulders.

While cooking, divas nibble gin-soaked olives or Champagne-saturated strawberries.

Divas cook while wearing an apron that says, "Tomorrow is another Chardonnay."

A diva's favorite breakfast is last night's appetizers.

Divas don't stress over particular amounts in any recipe. Glugs, plops, and handfuls are accurate enough.

Divas can cook with boas because diva recipes do not require many steps. Still, the food is fabulous.

Homemade Irish Cream

Two things a diva looks for in a recipe:  delicious and easy.  I am so excited about this recipe.  It is divine!!!  At first sip, I found it a tad strong.  By the third sip I was in lust.  My man better watch out.

Homemade Irish Cream

1 cup whipping cream (you can use light cream if you don't want it as rich, but divas desire rich)

14 oz. sweetened condensed milk

1 2/3 cup Jameson Irish Whiskey (or a lesser brand if that's the sort of non-diva you are)

2 swirls of coffee flavored liqueur (if it's not Irish, this diva is not picky about the brand)

2 swirls of chocolate syrup

1 tsp. vanilla

1 tsp. almond extract

Just put it all in a blender and mix it for 30 seconds.
I stored mine in an empty (cleaned out) vodka bottle with a screw cap.
Shake before using.
